Description

Simulation-based experiences in health care education and clinical settings can enhance programmatic outcomes and/or institutional mission. This course is to enable the graduate learner to acquire basic simulation methodology and theory to develop skills in designing, , implementing, and evaluating simulation scenarios. Utilizing the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice students will design, implement and evaluate simulation-base experiences, including Interprofessional education and standardized patient scenarios. The student will develop a deeper understanding of debriefing methodology to promote safe, quality patient care.
