Explores conditions commonly seen in pediatric occupational therapy practice from birth to middle childhood. Etiology, symptoms, medical intervention and implications for occupational performance are examined. Identifies the physical, psychological, social and cultural forces which affect children's occupations within the environment. Emphasis is placed on occupational therapy theories/frames of reference, evaluation/intervention and additional aspects of service delivery (e.g., consultation, care coordination and transition processes).
