Description
The End-of-Life Care elective course is designed to provide medical students with an introductory understanding of the principles, clinical skills, and challenges associated with caring for patients of all ages nearing the end of life. This course explores the multidimensional aspects of end-of-life care, including symptom management, communication, ethical considerations, psychosocial support, and the role of interdisciplinary teams in delivering quality care. Through a combination of didactic lectures, case discussions, readings and discussions, and practical exercises, students will develop the necessary knowledge and skills to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals and their families during this sensitive period.
