With the widespread adoption of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and the rapid evolution of data analytics and artificial intelligence, future healthcare professionals must be adept at navigating and leveraging vast health data repositories. This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of big data, its applications in healthcare, and its implications for clinical practice and policy. Through a series of sessions, students will engage in descriptive and predictive data analyses using real-world EHR data, examine key clinical data analytics technologies and applications, and develop skills in data visualization and the impact of health policies on data utilization.
