Nursing Capstone and Practicum

This didactic and clinical practicum course in the accelerated program focuses on refinement of the student's clinical and leadership skills. The clinical immersion experience provides opportunities for the senior student to synthesize knowledge and skills in patient management of multiple clients with complex health care needs, including multi-system dysfunction in collaboration with an assigned preceptor. Emphasis is placed on refinement of clinical reasoning and decision-making skills for baccalaureate generalist nursing practice.
