Pulmonary Diseases/Critical Care Med VA

Students are assigned to the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine services at the VAMC. The VA ICU is a 10-bed critical care unit. The students will actively participate in the work-up and care of veterans whose illnesses range from various respiratory diseases to the critically ill. Students will work one on one with an attending to learn some of the core concepts in critical care and will be introduced to the manifestations and treatment of various pulmonary diseases.
