Practicum III: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

This third clinical role support course will continue to provide the theoretical basis for advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and collaborative management of specific health problems in the neonatal health care setting as a neonatal nurse practitioner. Focus of care on the neonates will be related to the endocrine/metabolic, immune, neurobehavioral, musculoskeletal, eyes/ears/nose/throat, and dermatologic systems that arise in the neonate as well as discharge planning and follow-up care for the high risk neonate and family.
