Biochemistry

Fundamental course in biochemistry including chemistry of amino acids and proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids, enzymology, metabolism and metabolic regulation, membrane structure and function, oxidative phosphorylation, hormonal control mechanisms, molecular biology and protein synthesis. This course also includes a number of lectures on oral biology and dental biochemistry including blood clotting, dental caries, connective tissue, and calcium and phosphorous metabolism.
