Pediatric Nephrology

The student functions as an extern and participates in the evaluation and care of children with kidney diseases. Special emphasis is placed on the interpretation of diagnostic tests, natural history, and treatment of acute and chronic disorders of the kidney. Students are also exposed to children with end stage renal disease undergoing dialysis or transplantation.
