Consult Liasion Psychiatry

The senior student spends four weeks assigned to the UMC Department of Psychiatry?s Consultation-Liaison Service. The student receives training and experience in psychiatric diagnosis, selection of medication and other treatment modalities as appropriate. The student learns about liaison activities with referring colleagues and with patient's family members. During this block, consultation responses are provided to requests from both the ER and Inpatient Services of the University Hospital. ( 1 student each month. Available all months.)
