Practicum in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner I

This supervised 45-hour clinical practice course offered in a variety of settings allows the student the opportunity to integrate and practice advanced health assessment, diagnostic reasoning, decision making for the collaborative management of patients with selected acute health problems such as cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, renal diseases, respiratory alterations, etc. Students are precepted by physicians/nurse practitioners under the direction of faculty.
