Community Service

This course is intended to promote awareness of the importance of volunteer community service by the physician and to organize and document an extraordinarily high degree of volunteer service by the student. Credit for the course requires a minimum number of documented hours of volunteer service in pre-approved activities and maintenance by the student of a personal journal recording these activities. All students must pre-enroll with approval by course directors and the Community Service Board.
