Description

A review of systemic medical conditions and their impact on dental care for third year dental students. It is designed to teach students how to treatment plan and provide dental care for patients who have varying degrees of compromising medical problems. The new graduate must be able to perform an examination that collects biological, psychological, and social information needed to evaluate the medical and oral condition of patients of all ages, determine a differential, provisional or definitive diagnosis by interpreting and correlating findings from the history, clinical and radiographic examination and other diagnostic tests, and diagnose, treat, and manage oral and maxillofacial surgical problems.
