Family Medicine Clerkship

This core clerkship introduces the third-year student to the concepts of family medicine. Students complete a preceptorship working individually with a community family physician in the state. Students are matched with preceptors outside the Jackson metropolitan area and housing can be arranged if needed. Students also work with Department of Family Medicine faculty and residents at the Flowood Family Medical Center or Lakeland Family Medical Center.
