Description
The perception of pain, the psychology of fear and anxiety and their impact on dentistry are presented. Alleviation and control of pain are presented in the context of alternative methods based on the individual patient. Basic methods taught are behavioral and pharmacological with emphasis on local anesthetics. Local anesthesia techniques are taught using lecture, video tapes, and demonstrations.
