Public Health Practicum

to provide an educational experience that is not available intramurally; to increase the student?s awareness of the dental manpower needs and opportunities of working with underserved urban and rural communities and populations; to provide the student an opportunity to better understand and function in the community; to provide the student an opportunity to bring together many principles learned at the School of Dentistry in a real world situation; to offer students an opportunity to observe, assist, and practice under the direction of an experienced practitioner and to gather data to evaluate the program and to modify the course as needed.
