Description
This supervised 225 hours clinical practice in acute/ critical care allows the students the opportunity to refine and evaluate nursing management of patients with complex health problems. The focus of the clinical is to perfect their clinical skills including: diagnostic reasoning and decision making. This along with the clinical seminar IV is the capstone experience for this role practice. Students are precepted by physicians/acute care nurse practitioners under the direction of faculty. Settings include coronary care units, surgical intensive care units, neurology intensive care units, emergency department, etc.
