Clinical Elective for Advanced Practice

This precepted clinical course provides the student an opportunity to practice in the role of advanced nurse practitioner and begin to establish the skills necessary to assume responsibility for management and health care of clients. Through a learning contract developed with faculty, the student uses advanced knowledge and skills for assessment, differential diagnosis, evaluation and health care management with select client groups in collaboration with preceptors and other health care professionals.
