Ambulatory Med Amazon Jungles of Peru

This course consists of two weeks spent at UMMC and two weeks spent in Peru. During the first two weeks, students review tropical medicine with emphasis on parasitology, infectious diseases, and dermatology. During the last two weeks, students work with UMMC faculty to provide primary care to underserved residents of the province of Loreta in Peru.
