Intro to Occupational Therapy Practice

Basic tenets of occupational therapy are introduced. Topics include history and philosophy of the profession, theories/frames of reference, ethics and professionalism, professional terminology and selected official documents of the profession. The role of the occupational therapist in the context of various service delivery systems will be explored, with emphasis on the U.S. health care system.
