A study of the basic physical principles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Content includes fundamentals of magnetic resonance imaging, equipment and instrumentation, radiofrequency and gradients, image production parameters, contrast media, pulse sequences, safety essentials, image quality, and procedure protocols of standard magnetic resonance imaging examinations. Provides an overview of human anatomy, viewed in body sections, as it relates to the imaging professional. Pathologic diseases and conditions commonly imaged utilizing MRI will also be studied.
