Description
This course offers an immersion experience in the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States. Seminar topics to be covered include: historical context, epidemiology and trends, wide and persisting disparities, old and emerging challenges, and advances and opportunities in prevention and treatment. Students will have an immersion experience in nationally acclaimed cutting-edge research and service programs in Jackson, Mississippi, with emphasis on improving equity for sexual minorities with or at-risk for HIV infection.
