This course reviews the medical implication of Dental treatment and the oral implications of systemic disease processes. It emphasizes evaluation of the patient through the medical history and physical examination and discusses treatment modification dictated by systemic medical problems. The need for, and method of medical consultation is discussed as well as coordinated medical-dental management. The role of Hospital Dentistry in the management of these patients is discussed.
