Description

This course provides the student experience in the dental treatment of children with special health care needs. (i.e. developmentally disabled, medically compromised) Students will actively participate in the daily activities of the Hospital Dental Clinics service for children, referred from Children?s Rehabilitation Clinic, Children?s Cancer Clinic, Child Development Clinic, and other Pediatric Specialty Care areas. Principles of Behavior Management, Conscious Sedation, General Anesthesia and Hospital Dentistry will be emphasized
