Description

The senior student spends four weeks assigned to and will participate in all of the services provided by the UMC Child Psychiatry Clinic including outpatient services and inpatient consultations at the University hospital. Child Psychiatry Faculty will closely supervise the student and provide opportunities for the student to gain experience in other settings, e.g., school consultations. During this block the student, uner supervision conducts new patient evaluations, conducts follow-up visits, and functions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Treatment modalities employed include individual and group psychotherapy, family sessions, behavioral management and psychopharmacology. The student also participates in weekly conferences. (2 students each month. Available all months.)
