Description
A study of anatomy, physiology, terminology, and pathology related to diagnostic nuclear medicine for the skeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, and endocrine systems. The course presents the current uses of radiopharmaceuticals for organ visualization, function, and radiotherapy. Principles for determining the diagnostic value of imaging results are presented in the clinical laboratory setting. Cross-sectional anatomy is included.
