Description

This is a 4 week rotation. Interventional cardiology will allow students to be involved with the care of patients receiving cardiac interventional procedures. This will include training to improve coronary and peripheral circulation and alleviate valvular stenosis and treat structural heart disease. This offers the opportunity to be directly involved in patient care. Students are encouraged and expected to participate in the planning of procedures as well as pre and post patient evaluations to increase their depth of knowledge of disease, indications, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in interventional cardiology.
